Creative Gift Giving
During my time off for the Christmas Holiday I watched one of my favorite television shows, Alaska: The Last Frontier. During a recent Christmas episode the families were exchanging gifts they made for each other using recycled materials.
Amazing! One of the women on the show made toboggans for her son and husband from an old sweater. She dyed them with cranberries from her garden.
So clever! Another cast member visited the junk yard and found wheels, a steering wheel and a horn from an old car. He made a buggy for his son to ride in and also for his wife to use to cart vegetables from her garden.
In a world where most things are disposable, it is great to see how different materials can be repurposed and be used for functioning uses.
